We collect information like:

  • your address
If we support you, we may also collect information about:
  • your health and disability
  • your NDIS plan and goals
  • the people who help you, like your family or guardian
We will ask you before we collect private information about your health or disability.
It is OK to say no.
But we may not be able to give you some services without it.
When you visit our website, we collect some information automatically.
This is about how you use the website.
It usually does not say who you are.

How do we keep your information safe?

We keep your information safe.
Only people who need to see it can see it.
If something goes wrong and your information is not safe, we will tell you.
We will also tell the government if the law says we must.

When you see the word ‘we’, it means Newpath.
This document is written in an easy to read way.
We use pictures to explain some ideas.
You can ask someone to help you read this document.
This might be a family member, friend, carer or support worker.
This is a short version of our Privacy Policy.
You can ask us for the full version at any time.

What is privacy?

Privacy means your information belongs to you.
We must look after it and keep it safe.
There is a law about privacy in Australia.
It is called the Privacy Act 1988.
We follow this law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we have about you.
If something is wrong, you can ask us to fix it.

Who do we share your information with?

Sometimes we share your information with:

  • the NDIS (NDIA)
  • your plan manager
  • other people who support you, like doctors or therapists
  • your guardian or nominee
We only share your information when we need to for your supports, or when the law says we must.
We never sell your information to anyone.

What if you are not happy?

If you are not happy with how we look after your information, you can tell us.
We will listen and try to fix the problem.
Making a complaint will never change the supports you get from us.

How do we use your information?

We use your information to:
  • answer your questions
  • give you the right supports
  • work with other people who support you
